Remington Landis
Welcome!
My name is Remington Landis and I am currently a student at Fort Lewis college, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. This website is a Portfolio comprised of content pages with information containing subjects relating to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, my personal experiences and lesson plans I have created for Emergent Bilingual students. I hope you enjoy it and find it a helpful resource to refer to.
My goals as a future educator and personal learning objectives
-
To provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students
-
To enact Culturally Responsive pedagogies within the classroom
-
Bring all students' cultures, languages and backgrounds into the learning
-
I plan to learn more methods to support Emergent Bilinguals in the classroom
A little about me...
I was born in a suburb south of Denver called Highlands Ranch, but have had the pleasure of going to school and living in Durango the past 3 years. Outside of school I enjoy spending time outdoors and playing the guitar. I cannot wait to become an elementary teacher some day and hope to teach 2nd grade.
